Summer Reading Club / Beanstack – June 23 to Aug 18 – TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests, and all abilities. This free program is offered at 2,000 public libraries across Canada, including Bruce County. Visit your local library branch to receive your Summer Reading Club package.

Instead of tracking your reading using the booklet, Bruce County Public Library offers an online program called Beanstack. Sign up through our website or download the Beanstack app to complete reading and activity challenges, add a book review and earn virtual badges. Let’s see if together, Bruce County kids can read 5000 minutes each week this summer!

Children who complete all the challenges either using the TD Summer Reading booklets or using Beanstack receive a custom button.

Beanstack Teen Summer Reading Challenge – June 23-Aug 18 – Get on Beanstack this summer! Complete fun reading, activity and social media challenges to earn your exclusive Beanstack button! Sign up on our website or download the app to instantly add your book. In the app, use the stopwatch feature to track how much time you spend reading. All programs are FREE unless otherwise noted. Donations to your library are gratefully accepted. Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the library. Children under the age of 5 attending programs may be supervised by the library staff only during the scheduled time of the program; their caregivers must always remain in the library building. Responsibility for the welfare and the behaviour of children using the library ultimately rests with the parent/guardian or an assigned caregiver. Thank you for your understanding.
