BCPL explores our strong culture with the waters of Bruce County with two presentations:

Sue and David Williams share their stories of sailing in Lake Huron and Georgian Bay and their adventures further afield in “Ready to Come About”. Their book has been endorsed by best-selling author, Miriam Toews and is a “Recommended Summer Read” by the Globe and Mail.

Trip Fontain is a popular fly-fishing guide who has led hundreds of expeditions on local waters. Trip is an expert at fishing and speaks passionately about conservation in our local waterways. Participants will also observe a fly-tying demonstration.

BCPL Sensory Kits contain a collection of small toys designed engage and calm children on the autistic spectrum. These kits are available to all ages for a one-week loan period. The Library thanks Community Foundation Grey Bruce for the donation towards purchasing these kits.
Have you ever wanted to try to learn to play the ukulele? BCPL Ukulele Kits contain a ukulele, instruction book and tuner. We thank the Community Foundation Grey Bruce Eva Leflar Foundation for supporting the purchase of the ukulele kits.
All programs are FREE unless otherwise noted. Donations to your library are gratefully accepted. Children 9 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver while in the library. The assigned caregiver must be at least 12 years old. Children under the age of 5 attending programs may be supervised by the library staff only during the scheduled time of the program; their caregivers must always remain in the library building. Responsibility for the welfare and the behaviour of children using the library ultimately rests with the parent/guardian or an assigned caregiver. Thank you for your understanding.
