Self-Guided Day Trips
Hoity Toity Cellars is located at 1723 Highway #9 Mildmay (5 km North of Mildmay). Come take a tour, hear our historic tales and taste our pick of the crop wines and ciders in the cellar. Stroll through the vineyard and crafting production area and hear the last story in the tasting cellar. The goal is to make your experience at Hoity Toity Cellars a memorable one, leaving with a smile on your face, a story in your back pocket and most likely a bottle in your hand.
Harley’s Pub & Perk is located at 87 Elora Street Mildmay. Come have a tart attack with us! Since the Perk opened in 1999 over 15,000 butter tarts have been either sold or donated. Their famous butter tarts will always keep you coming back for more! You can enjoy a home cooked breakfast at the Perk, the front entrance and pub style flared food at the back entrance of the building. Local craft beer is always cold, on tap and ready to be served.
Formosa Springs Brewery is located at 1120 Bruce Road 12, Formosa. In 2020, Formosa Springs Brewery will be celebrating 150 years of brewing history – that’s a lot of history, medals won and stories to be told. Check out their tasting room and sample craft beers made with our pure spring water, expert quality, and legendary taste.

The Mildmay Cheese Haus is located at 73 Elora Street, Mildmay and is a 3rd generation business that was established in 1972 but was formally operating as The Mildmay Cremery prior to this. They carry over 200 varieties of local & imported cheeses, specializing in naturally aged cheddars up to 15 years old. But they’re more than just great cheese! Check out their large selection of giftware as well as your find local honey, maple syrup, jam, dried meats, candy, crackers, hot sauce and so much more! Feel free to taste before you buy! They are so popular, they added a 2nd location in Port Elgin, Mildmay Cheese Haus at the Beach!
Liesemer’s Home Hardware is located at 98 Elora Street, Mildmay and is the oldest Home Hardware in Canada which was established in 1873! Offering a wide selection of paint, tools and home decor to make your house feel like a home. Wendt’s Jewellery & Gift Shop is located at 102 Elora Street, Mildmay and is 4th generation business that was established in 1884! Diamonds are a girls best friend, with shopping being the 2nd best! Hoity Toity Cellars harvest days are mid October where the dedicated crew will trek into the vineyard to hand pick grapes and hear as many stories as one can bear from the winemaker himself, Gary! Then we will become part of the crushing process by stomping grapes after we have feasted and sampled the fruits of production. A unique experience, only offered in Bruce County!
Sea Buckthorn Golden Orchard harvest days are mid August. Teeswater is home of the first fruit producing Sea Buckthorn orchard in Ontario! This small fruit packs a real punch and has gained the reputation of being a ‘super berry’ with healing powers! Strap on a bucket and start picking your own super berries, only in South Bruce!
Essentially Lavender harvest days are mid August. Who doesn’t love the smell of lavender and the beauty that it displays. Enjoy self guided or guided tours and enjoy the beauty of featuring lavender gardens, shrub and perennial gardens, a labyrinth, an apiary, an xeriscape garden and relaxing seating areas throughout the property. The products of the harvest can then be purchased in the on-site boutique which offers natural, small batch lavender products for personal and home care. Some of their products include sachets, bath salts, lotions, balms, deodorant, essential oil, linen spray, yoga mat spray, hand sanitizer, neck rolls and lavender plants. Relaxation at its finest is harvested from Bruce County soil!

Mildmay Rotary Park, Artesian Well and Walking Trails – 130 Elora Street, Mildmay
The Mildmay Rotary Park is conveniently located at the junction of Highway 9 and County Road 3. This picturesque park is famous for the ever-flowing artesian well located under a covered gazebo at the north end of the park. Visitors come from near and far to taste the cold fresh water from four free flowing taps.

Carrick Tract – Huron Bruce Road, Mildmay
Locals stay this is the best single track in Bruce County! These soil and gravel based trails provide excellent riding conditions that are dry virtually all season long. You are able to ride according to personal skill levels, which makes this track great for beginners and seasoned riders. These little trails are small yet mighty. Hard packed, crazy fast. Ride em fast when wet or dry, frontwards and backwards. Please use at your own risk!

Voisin’s Maple Products (Retail Store & Sugar Shack) – 706 Concession 10, Formosa
Making maple syrup has been a Voisin Family tradition for many years, starting as far back at the 1920’s tapping 50 taps. By the year 2000, the business had outgrown the original sugar shack and a large, modern facility was built to process sap from 8000 taps! Today, their delicious products can be purchased online, at their retail store or at a variety of other venues across North America! Voisin’s Maple Product’s location is out in the country, but worth the drive for a truly unique Canadian tradition!

Teeswater Lions Park – 12 Hillcrest Street, Teeswater
New playground equipment was just installed in 2018! This playground is adjacent to the Teeswater-Culross Swimming pool. Perfect summer day get away with the kids – let them burn off some energy while playing on the equipment in the wide open space, then cool off with a dip in the pool and finish your day with a picnic lunch under the pavilion! Fun for all!
