Join us for this fun preschool program where we will help you build early literacy skills with your child by reading, talking, singing and playing together. Wear your pajamas and bring your stuffed animal. Adults must stay for the program. Suitable for ages 18 months – 7
October is Canadian Public Library Month! To show how the Library is an integral part of the community, together we will create a paper chain in each of our Library branches. Add your name, a comment or memory to your piece of the link each time you visit in October and see how many people in your community are “Linked by the Library”.
Oct. 9-15 – Teen Read Week: This week we celebrate our teen library members! Youth are invited to participate in creating spine poetry from book titles at the library, share their thoughts in a daily discussion question (in person or through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). Come in to learn about our fun contest!
October 22 – Customer Appreciation Day: “Thank you” to all members of the community for supporting our programs and services. Join us for refreshments.
Adult Book Club Meeting – last Tuesday of the month @ 1:00. Copies of the club’s current read are available at the circulation desk.
KNIT HAPPENS – Knitters and needleworkers group – Weekly informal group meet at the library on Thursday afternoons at 2 pm. Learn, teach, encourage, and socialize. Call the branch for more information or to RSVP.
Mayor Buckle Drop In – Stop by and chat with the Bob Buckle, Mayor of South Bruce on Friday mornings.
All programs are FREE unless otherwise noted. Donations to your library are gratefully accepted. Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the library. Children under the age of 5 attending programs may be supervised by the library staff only during the scheduled time of the program; their caregivers must always remain in the library building. Responsibility for the welfare and the behaviour of children using the library ultimately rests with the parent/guardian or an assigned caregiver. Thank you for your understanding.
